Tsuriyama Park is a nice hillside park located in Ichinoseki City. The park is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in the city and features long pathways that are lined with cherry blossom trees. There are numerous large open grass spaces located inside the park, as well as many bench tables with impressive views over Ichinoseki. The park also features a Japanese garden, small shrine and children's playground. There are also toilets and drinking fountains located in the park. I recommend packing your lunch before heading to the park as there are no nearby supermarkets. The park is open everyday, and is located a five minute walk from Ichinoseki Station.

One of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in Iwate

The park features lots of large open grass areas perfect for a picnic

The park also features a small Japanese garden

The park features nice walkways which are covered with cherry blossom trees during Spring

Take a break at one of the tables with a view

The park features great views of Ichinoseki City

Looking out over Ichinoseki City

There is a small shrine located at the top of the park

I was impressed by this slide, perfect for the children

On a fine day, it's hard to beat the views from the top of the park

I'm not too sure what this one is dedicated to, maybe worshipping pets
