Take the Kachi Kachi ropeway (just a short walk from Kawaguchiko station) to the summit of Mount Tenjo, from there you can enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. In winter the air is very clear and the views are at their best. Afterwards, take the Retrobus along a picturesque road around the lakes Kawaguchiko and Saiko until you get to Iyashi no sato, a village of traditional thatched roof farm houses, where you can watch the makings of traditional handicrafts. It's a great day out!

Jean: Very nice photos...! I love this part of Yamanashi as well. That wind on the lake looks quite "brisk", no wonder Fuji-san was so clear.
