After wandering around Seisen-ryo and enjoying the idyllic rural scenery I found myself in need of sustenance, and after a short search I found just what I wanted - a charming bakery with a French name and very tasty looking bread.I selected olive focaccia and a flat chewy bread full of sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and enjoyed them on the wooden deck outside the door.

The doors to the bakery were open

The bakery sign has stenciled lettering, leaves and flowers.

Window boxes and pots were crammed with flowering plants

All the bread looked wonderful, but I was attracted to these ones

Olive focaccia, and a flat, chewy bread full of sunflower and pumpkin seeds

There were rustic tables and seats on the wooden deck in front of the bakery

A cat and a watering can added to the ambiance

The view was especially nice!

A red currant bush (rare in Japan) was growing next to the steps
