Tameike-Sannō Station

U.S.Embassy, National Diet Building, Sannō Park Tower

The Tameike-Sannō Station is where you go to catch trains running on the Ginza, Chiyoda, Marunochi, and Namboku lines. It is fairly easy to navigate with signs written in English on every entrance and everywhere near an entrance. If you need to call someone, there are pay phones near almost every ticket barrier; look for the big neon green phone, but make sure you have change or a phone card. The station is clean and fairly new looking, with art decorations and posters on some walls. I discovered that this station had my favorite ice cream machine. I highly recommend that you try one of the vending machine ice creams while you're in Japan. It's easy to purchase and the best to try when it's melting hot outside.

Landmarks near exits make it easy to meet up with someone, and if you find that you’ve got some time on your hands, the Sannō Park Tower is a good place to go. The Sannō Park Tower is a forty-four story skyscraper (second tallest in Chiyoda Ward) that is filled with stores and restaurants where you could spend some time. The building is attached to the Tameike-Sannnō Station making it easily accessible; you won't have to worry about missing your next train or getting lost. If you would like to be cautious, there are also a couple of clothing stores and small convenient stores in the station where you could grab refreshments or a snack.

The Embassy of the United States of America and the National Diet Building are some of the major buildings near Tameike-Sannō Station. If you need to catch a taxi, there are no designated areas like some places in Japan, but the main streets are filled with them, so it should not be difficult to find one.

Now that you know almost all about Tameike-Sannō Station, I hope you have a great trip, and if your final destination requires a stop at this station, know that you are safe. Start your exiting journey with Tokyo Metro and have a great time exploring the wonder-filled city of Tokyo.
