A special event taking place at the National Art Center in Tokyo will explore the works of Henri Matisse (1869 - 1954), who is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. The event will specifically focus on pieces from the Matisse Museum in Nice, France, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, textiles, and works that showcase his paper-cutting technique.
One of Matisse's iconic paper-cut pieces, "Flowers and Fruits" (1952 - 1953) will be shown for the first time in Japan at the event.
Admission prices to the event have not yet been determined, however, they should be updated on the official event website closer to the commencement date.
