Kitanomaru Park is a great location for cherry blossom viewing. Entrance to the park is free, and it's also the location of the Science Museum and the Nippon Budokan (Japan Martial Arts Hall). The National Museum of Modern Art is also right next to the park, making it a great place to stop by. In the spring, the cherry blossoms are truly a sight to see.

I'm not sure I'm brave enough -- I've seen crowds so thick they weren't moving. I guess that's a testament to how beautiful the location is for cherry blossom viewing.
