Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer event, and it's held every year in Munich, Germany from mid-September to early October. Japan also has a number of Oktoberfest events, and one for Tokyoites to enjoy this summer is the Hibiya Oktoberfest.
The fun takes place for almost two weeks at Hibiya Park, and includes a large selection of German draft beers to try, plenty of gourmet foods that pair well with the brews on offer, various stage performances, and more.
Adult admission to the event is ¥500 and food/drink is charged separately, but credit cards and electronic money cards (e.g. PASMO and Suica) can be used. Please also note the hours of the event differ from weekdays to weekends. On the first day of the event and all weekdays, the hours are 4pm—10:00pm and on weekends the hours are from 11am—22:00pm (last orders at 9:30pm).
