Glimpse Tokyo's Largest Convention Center

The largest international exhibition center in Japan

Known and easily identified by its distinctive conference tower architecture, as well as its overall design, Tokyo Big Sight or the Tokyo International Exhibition Center in Ariake, Koto-ku, stands proud and majestic along with other huge buildings. It boasts four iconic glass and titanium-paneled inverted pyramid-style towers, that capture the eyes and fancy of any tourist in the area.

Tokyo Big Sight has already hosted numerous international events since its opening in 1996. It has a total floor area of 230,873 square meters, and is subdivided into three major areas -- the East Exhibition Hall, the West Exhibition Hall, and the Conference Tower -- each featuring its own food shop, as well as other supporting facilities.

It is also eyed as one of the possible venues to host some sports events in the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Getting there

It's about a seven-minute walk from Kokusai-Tenjijo Station on the Rinkai Line, or three minutes from Tokyo Big Sight Station on the Yurikamome Line. As you leave these stations, you will immediately catch sight of the building's iconic towers.
