Floating Garden Vegan Afternoon Tea

A vegan high tea with earth, water, and sky in mind

Of the numerous afternoon tea events taking place this summer, one of them caters to vegans in an incredibly aesthetically pleasing way. The Floating Garden Vegan Afternoon Tea at the Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho is scheduled to run from June 1st until August 31st, and it features a 100% plant based menu designed with earth, water, and sky in mind.

The sweets plate in particular looks just like a real succulent garden, with edible elements designed to emulate the look of moss and stone. Some of the highlights include the edamame and matcha tart which is reminiscent of a cactus, and a cherry cake topped with fresh berries. Scones served with a variety of jams are also part of the sweets selection, and they are made gluten-free by utilizing rice flour instead of standard wheat flour.

The "water" element of the afternoon tea menu is the soy milk and coconut pannacotta, and the "sky" element is the savory plate which uses dry ice to create a cloud-like appearance around the veggie-filled dishes.

Yes, that's such a good point! I feel like this one is almost too cute to eat, it's so elaborately and thoughtfully presented!
