Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, in line with most luxury hotels in Tokyo, takes seasons very seriously. At this time of the year, sakura and spring are very much en pointe and their menus and curated special services reflect this intrinsic harmony with the nature that surrounds us.

Andaz Tokyo sits on top of the mega Toranomon Hills structure with some of the most stunning views in the city. Its Rooftop Bar, situated on the 52nd floor, affords uninterrupted views of Tokyo Tower and the whole of the metropolis creating a perfect place for more intimate occasions. With a much-recommended Sakura Perrier-Jouët Free Flow Plan on offer until April 11, 2021, it's ideal for sitting and ruminating on this wonderful city and its intrinsic relationship with seasonality. The carefully curated dishes on the menu include sakura-inspired snacks and cherry blossom gratin which fuses rich béchamel sauce with escargot sautéed in garlic butter, seasonal bamboo shoots, and brioche gremolata mixed with cherry blossom powder.

For fans of afternoon tea: The hotel's Sakura Afternoon Tea, at a reasonable ¥6,600, located in a private-and-intimate space on the 52nd floor and decorated with pink blossoms, includes savory Mille crepes filled with beetroot puree, mixed with cream cheese for a delicate sakura-pink color. The sweets feature a sakura 'opera' showcasing a balanced contrast in layers of Griotte confit, cherry blossom buttercream, and cherry blossom ganache. The sakura rare cheesecake is infused with Griotte jelly and topped with freeze-dried chocolate. The sakura scones are blended with chopped sakura leaf and sakura essence creating an exquisite balance of salty and sweet. And finally, the sakura tea accompanies each bite as you enjoy hanami celebrations from enviable heights above the Japanese capital.

Running until April 18, visitors to Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills will find its ever-popular Pastry Shop offering a delightful selection of sakura sweets which are the perfect accouterments to cherry blossom viewing. The popular Sakura Box returns with a selection of eight bite-sized sakura treats, ideal for sharing with family and friends. New for spring 2021 is the delicate sakura rare cheesecake filled with Griotte cherry jelly and apricot mousse. The sakura roll cake features light matcha sponge cake mixed with azuki beans, wrapped with cherry blossom Chantilly cream, and much more.
