Penny Lane Café & Bakery in Nasu Kogen, Tochigi Prefecture, is famous in this region for its pastries, the lovely location and its “Beatles” thing. The breads and cakes are truly scrumptious and there are many indoor and outdoor tables where you can sit and have a coffee while eating your purchases. Beatles paraphernalia, posters and photos are in every nook and cranny and the music playing lightly in the background is of course "the Beatles” .

One of the entrances to Penny Lane

The half a VW Bug sitting in the wall is the crowning touch to this picture near the entrance

The Bakery shop with all these goodies on display; everything is fresh and replenished regularly

No idea what they are, but they come in peace!

Stardust... Pastry filled with chocolate

Brioche in ether cheese or orange

More Beatles paraphanalia inside

The entrance from the garden

Lots of seating outside

The provision of a rug means that despite the slightly chill morning, you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee in the gardens

Coffee, Cheese Brioche and fresh air

The gardens have so many lovely spots to sit

Lots of seating on all different levels throughout the garden area

More Beatles reminders in the garden
