The venue of the 1970 World Expo in Osaka serves as a memorial site for the one of the greatest events in Japanese history. Only a few small facilities and arts installations are left over from 45 years ago, including the sun tower that stands directly behind the entrance. The majority of the park area is used as a garden and open playground. The middle of the park holds the National Museum of Ethnology and the Japan Folk Crafts Museum. Other attractions include the Expo ’70 pavilion, transformed from the former Steel Pavilion and now serveing as a museum that houses a large collection of original items from the World Expo.

Two monorail lines take people from Osaka to the entrance of the park
Open playgrounds were built for public events
A park for children was built and it sticks to the World Expo's focus on technology
The aerial promenade takes you through the thick woods
The promenade winds through trees and let you observe them closely from the above
On the wooden tower at the end of the promenade views of far-off sights are clear under good weather conditions
In early autumn, flowers blossom and form a field of rich colors
The upper part of the sun tower sticks out from the woods

I love the tower. Its back side is different color.
