Shisa is one of the main attractions of Okinawa after the crystal-clear blue sea. I just love taking photos of them! This year I was very lucky to stay at Fusaki Resort Village on Ishigaki Island. There were lots of these Okinawan lion-dogs in different colors and shapes. More or less traditional shisa stood at the entrances of the hotel, shops, restaurants, and some funny colorful shisa were scattered all over the area. I particularly liked the pair of shisa-drummers.

Those are really cool. I didn't know about Shisa before. They manage to look fierce and cute at the same time. :-)
