There are 500 cherry trees and 70 different species at Kyoto Botanical Gardens, making it a great choice for enjoying O-hanami in Kyoto. The cherry blossom is wonderful, but there are other spring delights like magnificent tulip beds, daffodils and bluebells under mature trees, and a rhododendron exhibition. Entrance is ¥200 and in spring there is a light up till 9pm.
