There are six pleasant parks alongside Yokohama Bay. Zo-no-hana (Elephant Nose) Park was newly opened in 2009 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port. When the port was first opened, two jetties were built here. One of them was extended in a curve, and it looked like an elephant’s nose. The name of the park came from the shape of the jetty. This park is located between Aka-renga Park and Yamashita Park. You’ll find screen panels here arranged to show perspective in the park. At night the panels light up and change color from white to purple to blue. An index of this series is here.

A great view of Minato-mirai.

The park's grass amphitheater.

These panels light up at night and are very colorful.

This park is right on the water.

Pleasure boats dock here.

Night view from the park of The Queen and Cosmo Clock.

The panels are an interesting touch.

There are a variety of little shops on the edge of the park.

Looking towards Osanbashi Pier.

This is what the area looked like 150+ years ago!

Enjoy the view and a cool drink at a nearby cafe.

It's well written and direct to the point. This place is indeed worth writing about. This place is a great location for a day-out with families and your lover. Thanks for sharing this. I want to share a photo as well.

Zo no Hana is a great park and very nostalgic for me. My first date with my boyfriend was at the Zo no Hana Cafe, then we walked over to Aka Renga for ice skating. You can take your drinks to the roof of the cafe and watch the bay. I highly recommend it :)
