Yokohama has three famous old towers. When you see this building from the sea, it looks like a swan spreading its wings. The elegant “Queen” was built in 1934 as the Yokohama Customs House and it continues in that function to this day. The tower is 51 meters high, and covered with beige ceramic tiles. The dome of the tower is an exotic hat and matches the Queen’s dress well. An index of this series is here.
