The Shiribetsu River Park is located on the outskirts of Kutchan and runs parallel to the beautiful Shiribetsu River. The park features three free tennis courts that are reasonably well maintained, a large bicycle/jogging track and numerous undercover park benches all surrounded by gardens. Another impressive feature of this park is the 18 hole miniature golf course. The best place to enter the park is off of Route 5, opposite from the Kutchan Max Value and Homac stores. At this end of the park you will find the park golf course, numerous gardens and the start of the bicycle/jogging track. Towards the end of the park you will find three free public tennis courts and more recreation space. The park is quite popular with local residents who enjoy exercising to the sound of the flowing Shiribetsu River. The park is only accessible in spring, summer and autumn as thick snow completely covers the park during the winter.

The immaculately maintained gardens give the park a nice, refreshing and peaceful feeling
The park is only accessible during spring, summer and autumn as thick snow covers the riverside during the winter
The free public tennis courts along the Shiribetsu River Park
There is lots of relaxation space, complete with nicely maintained flower gardens along the length of the park
The 18 hole park golf course is popular on weekends and is another great example of free recreation activities on offer in Kutchan
The Shiribetsu River runs beside the path. Although sometimes hard to see during the summer due to dense foliage, the river makes great viewing in spring and autumn
The park also features a bicycle/jogging track that runs the length of the park
The east entrance to Shiribetsu River Park, this is also the best location if you are looking for the tennis courts
