On my way home from a cherry blossom festival held at the banks of Kuruzyu River with carp streamers and cherry blossoms near Katsuyama Station of Echizen Railways, I spotted a heavenly line of beautiful cherry trees on the riverbank. Mesmerized, I stopped my car and decided to explore the place. There was a spacious mallet golf course in the open area beside the river, and the banks were lined with beautiful cherry trees in full bloom. There were only a few people appreciating the great view of still snowy mountains, the gently flowing river, the green lawn and the pretty cherry blossoms. It seemed like heaven after the crowded festival I had just visited. Katsuyama is truly a small paradise on earth!
