Cute and charming public art near the station

The statues are more classical around the intersection

I bet if I throw it hard enough I can hit that apartment building

I'm still not sure what she's carrying here

Walk away from Toyohashi station on the appropriately-named Ekimae-odori ("In-front-of-the-station big street") and you'll find cute and quirky statues lining the road, lending it some charm and character. There are mostly little children, playing games with each other and their toys and pets, and it's fun to imagine what they're saying to each other. A few minutes from the station at the intersection with Tahara-kaido, things get a bit grander, with a few classical statues of adult nudes, possibly the childrens' parents.
