For foreigners living in Japan, or even avid kanji readers, the term Koraku might be familiar. Loosely translated, it means enjoying after, and this exactly was the guiding principle for the park's construction, with the feudal lord at the time wanting to enjoy only after his subjects and people had thoroughly enjoyed. True enough, up till this day, people have been enjoying this park throughout the seasons. Of particular interest though, are the beautiful pink and white colors of plum blossoms every February. They have to be seen to be believed!
