It's that time of year in Japan when runners and cheer squads unite for the Tokyo Marathon! If you were lucky to have your name selected from the lottery, here's a glimpse into the check-in process at Tokyo Big Sight. Have your passports ready for name verification and wear comfy shoes as you navigate through each booth for bib pick-up and Expo.

Interested in running the Tokyo Marathon? You will have to plan ahead and mark your calendars now. Application Guidelines are as follows:

August 1st: Application process begins
End of August: Application period ends
Late September: Announcement and notification of lottery results are sent via email
Mid October: Payment for entry fee is due (non-refundable and non-transferrable)
End of January: Guidebook mailed to all participants
February: Tokyo Marathon EXPO, Bib pick-up, and RACE DAY!

Are you an avid runner, but not quite ready to participate in a Marathon? The Tokyo Marathon EXPO is always open to the public.
