Before visiting Tokyo, I had seen many photos and films, of course. But, when I arrived in Tokyo for the first time and started to explore the city, I was really amazed . Tokyo wasn’t what I had thought! It combined everything one could imagine: skyscrapers, temples and shrines, beautiful gardens, small houses of different design all jumbled together, big stores, small cafes, the interweaving of wires, old lanterns, advertisements with images of big-eyed girls, a lot of trains and tracks, large lit spaces, dark narrow streets, etc., etc. After five visits, Tokyo is still a mystery to me and each time I visit I discover new things!
