Due to a fallen tree and subsequent surveyance in 2020, the main hiking promenade has been closed until the trail can be made safe again. Only the Japanese garden and Todoroki Fudoson Temple to the south side remain accessible — see the notice/map on this page.

Would you believe that there is a valley within the city limits of Tokyo? A natural beauty, which has escaped any urban developments due its remarkable topographic characteristics? Well, I wouldn't, and I only found out after having lived here for almost 2 years! Todoroki Valley leads to a beautiful temple that in early spring overlooks a field of puffy, white cherry blossom trees. It's an amazing site, although go during the week because it's packed in the weekends.
