Every year, a huge number of visitors -- both locals and tourists -- flock to the Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa City, a huge multi-purpose park located in the western part of Tokyo.
Blame this huge influx of people on the seas of colorful and lovely tulips that create spectacular scenery in the place.
At this time of the year, you will see tulips of all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors -- from yellow to pink, purple to orange, white to red and even a combination of such colors -- the abundance of tulips in assorted colors gives a picturesque view of the place, attracting so many artists and photography enthusiasts to the festival.
This year, the flower festival was held from the last week of March to the last week of May.
