You may not have heard of the name, but Osaki Station is an up and coming hub for Tokyo’s redeveloping area that is increasingly surrounded by office buildings and department stores. Perhaps not the most popular spot for tourists, but especially since 2012 when Osaki Station was added as a stop for several more lines besides the Yamanote, the station may be a relevant destination for business travelers. Unlike some of the multi-layered, intricate stations, Osaki Station is rather easy to navigate particularly given all the signs have an English version. That being said, there are several places to grab a bite, and even a Uniqlo store, so this photo story can serve as a brief guide to Osaki Station.

I recommend visiting Osaki Station during morning rush hour, as the herd of voiceless salarymen rumbling down the tunnel toward the office towers is awesome (outside the North ticket gate is best due to the narrow corridor). Unlike the chaos of larger stations, where people scramble in a thousand different directions, the human rivers at Osaki flow together.
