Japan has a long-standing tradition of artisanship, something which still stands to this day. The Handmade in Japan Fes is a celebration of this in modern times, with vendors showcasing a variety of goods made with love and immense skill.

The two-day festival, operated by Japan's largest handmade marketplace Creema, gathers 3,000 creators from all over Japan to Tokyo and runs both a summer and a winter edition.

The event has everything from jewelry to bags, clocks to leather items, and even handmade plush toys for sale — and that's just scratching the surface. Check out the Creators Area where you can experience about 70 types of crafts by traditional craftsmen and other popular creators. There will also be stage performances at the Music & Play Area and a handmade foods available at the Food Area.

Getting there

The HandMade in Japan Fes is held at Tokyo Big Sight (also known as the Tokyo International Exhibition Center).

By train
The closest station is Tokyo Big Sight on the Yurikamome Line. The venue is approximately 3 minutes on foot from the station itself.

By car
If you're driving to the venue from central Tokyo, take the Daiba IC from the Shuto Expressway. Tokyo Big Sight is approximately five minutes drive from there.
