Fullmetal Alchemist and Yomi no Tsugai are two popular manga series both created by Hiromu Arakawa, and a limited-time pop-up event at Tokyo's Motto Cafe is a fun way to enjoy both of them.
The themed menu has a variety of inventive main dishes, drinks and desserts to pick from. A couple of the mains on offer include Ed's Curry Pilaf (1430 JPY) which is inspired by Edward Elric's red coat and blonde hair, or Winry's Ajillo (1430 JPY), which incorporates spanner and hammer shaped vegetables inspired by the teenage mechanic character.
Along with the variety of eats and drinks on offer, there will also be a host of event exclusive merchandise available for purchase. Trading cards, acrylic coasters, badges, canvas prints, bookmarks, and stainless steel tumblers are just some of the items that attendees can choose from.
Booking Information
Please note that reservations are required for the cafe, and each timeslot is open for an 80 minute window. Slots can be booked online, but please note that the website is in Japanese, so we would recommend using a browser that auto-translates the content if you are trying to reserve a time.
If you can't make the Tokyo-based event, there will be a second pop-up taking place in Osaka from early April until early June. Please visit the official website for more details.
