Awaodori in Shinjuku is a charming izakaya (Japanese style bar) where, as you eat, you can enjoy a performance of traditional dancing from Tokushima called Awa-Odori (Awa being Tokushima's old name). Branding itself as a "Japanese Culture Entertainment Restaurant", Awaodori certainly sets itself apart from your regular izakaya establishment. The Awa-Odori is characterised by irregular steps and a jovial and energetic up-tempo rhythm, and you may even find yourself and your fellow diners joining in with the dance experience.
