APA Hotel Tokyo Shiomi Ekimae is located right by JR Shiomi Station on the Keiyo Line in Tokyo. There is the inconvenience of a long walk to the Keiyo Line at Tokyo Station though the escalators and travelators do help. Once you arrive, you'll find that the surroundings are very quiet.
The hotel's spacious lobby features a 24-hour front desk service and convenient electronic keys for the rooms. The lobby is decorated with a large stone sculpture of a bull. La Veranda restaurant and a LAWSON convenience store are located on the ground floor. Breakfast and dinner options are available when booking.
The hotel rooms aren't large but the designs are beautiful and the colour combination of yellow, orange and black with stripes gave off a feeling of being new. In each room, guests are greeted with a handmade origami tsuru (a crane) as a souvenir and there is a fresh yukata robe and slippers to wear within the hotel. The bathroom has all the necessary amenities. Each room is also equipped with an electric kettle and tea bags, a refrigerator, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Of course, each room has air-conditioning.
APA Hotel Tokyo Shiomi Ekimae also features a very good public bath that I was quite surprised to see. Both the indoor and outdoor baths are free for guests to use. Relaxing in the bath is the best thing after a busy day while a massage service is available for an additional fee.
The water views were nice and although the surrounding area was not particularly exciting, the hotel itself was very comfortable. I really did enjoy my stay and highly recommend it.
