Izu's Lake Ippeki

A small but beautiful lake near Ito

It must be nice to wake up to this view every day

The lake is surrounded by forest

Some trees are evergreen, some aren't

Ducks can make a living on the water

A shrine gate to a sacred island

How about this for a view?

Take a slow, peaceful walk around the lake

On the way from Ito to Mount Omuro on the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula, Lake Ippeki is a small but attractive lake surrounded by forest and low hills, typical of the area's beautiful scenery. There's a path all the way round the shore, and it's nice to walk round slowly, maybe take a picnic in good weather, taking the air and enjoying the tranquility and the views.
