Close to Hachiman station on the Enshu railway line in central Hamamatsu, Hachimangu is a peaceful, spacious Shinto shrine. Set in expansive grounds full of tall, leafy trees, but not far from the downtown area, it's a nice place to escape the bustle of this busy city. Get there at the right time and you might get to see a ceremony taking place, adding to the atmosphere.
