Opening event at Tokorozawa Sakura Town

Anime Camp is just one of several events for the grand opening of the Tokorozawa Sakura Town, which is taking place on Friday November 6th. Numerous attractions within the complex will open on that day, but there are also several already open.

The Anime Camp is a two-day event for the opening period only, with goods and food booths, character greetings, and exclusive photo spots. They are giving away commemorative gifts of mask cases and wristbands to people visiting on November 6th and 7th. The EJ anime museum on the third floor of the Kadokawa Culture museum within Sakura Town will also open on November 6th. It will open with a Newtype Anime Chronicle exhibition. On the first floor of that museum, the Yokai Pandemonium exhibition also starts on the 6th.

Getting there

By public transport: Tokorozawa Sakura Town is roughly a ten minute walk from Higashi Tokorozawa Station on the Musashino Line.

By car: Parking is available. It is charged by the hour, but there is an upper cap of 600 yen on weekdays and 1200 yen on weekends.

This whole venue looks really cool - I love that they are organizing so many fun events to commemorate its opening.
