The Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway (富士山パノラマロープウェイ) carries visitors 400 meters up from the eastern shore of Lake Kawaguchi (Kawaguchi-ko) to an observation deck near the summit of Mount Tenjo. Perched over 1,000 meters above sea level, the deck offers sweeping views of the lake below and, on clear days, an unforgettable sight of Mount Fuji.
Please note that hours may change given planned maintenance or adverse weather conditions, like strong rain or wind.
It is also possible to follow hiking trails up and down along a scenic route that takes about 45 minutes, which passes the Nakabadaira (Monument of Osamu Dazai), Gotoku Shrine and a corridor of hydrangeas (at their best between mid-July and early August).
See the panoramic view of Lake Kawaguchi and iconic Mt. Fuji right in front of you.
