Located at the Miura Peninsula’s easternmost point, Cape Kannon (Kannonzaki) is known for its rocky coastline and scenic views overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Sitting at the edge of the cape is the Kannonzaki Lighthouse, which was originally built in 1869 and holds the title of Japan’s first lighthouse.
The cape is a beautiful destination for nature lovers, with a wide variety of flora to appreciate. The region is particularly revered for its early summertime hydrangeas which bloom in shades of purple, blue, pink, and white.
Approximately 15 minutes by bus from Uraga Station.
