Namba City Nankai

Fun and easy shopping and dining in the heart of Osaka

Airplane, train, shopping mall. That is the easy route one can follow to the Namba City Nankai Shopping Complex.

Namba City is located at the Nankai Namba Railway Terminal in the heart of Osaka’s bustling Namba district. The Nankai Airport Express (¥920) or the supremely comfortable Limited Express Rapit (¥920 + ¥510 reserved seat fee) train services can whisk visitors from Kansai Airport right into the heart of the Namba City complex in as little as 38 minutes. The 2nd floor of Namba City is connected directly to the Nankai ticket gate.

Namba City features upward of 250 individual stores spread across the main “Honkan” and the southern “Minami-kan” buildings. The Honkan building has 2 above ground and 2 below ground levels and the Minami-kan has 2 above ground floors and one basement level. Namba City’s Honkan building is devoted to fashion and lifestyle. There is an enormous Uniqlo clothing store in the 2nd basement level and an incredible selection of men’s and women’s fashion and accessory stores that cater to every section of the market. There are also a number of stores selling unique traditional goods and wares providing shoppers the perfect opportunity to find their quintessential Japanese souvenir. Dining is the domain of the Minami-kan with 34 restaurants serving a wide variety of Japanese and international cuisines and catering to a wide price range. There are also 18 of cafés and coffee shops including a number of small chains unique to the Kansai region and Japan, and the familiarity and WiFi of Starbucks.

In addition to the shopping and dining Namba City offers several convenient services including tourist information, foreign exchange, ATMs serving overseas cards and duty-free shopping. The direct connection to the Nankai Railway Terminal is complemented by underground passages linking Namba City directly to the Osaka Subway and Kintetsu Railway Lines. Have you ever shopped this fun and easily?

Namba City is a part of the upcoming "Osaka Omotenashi Project," where tourists can enjoy various activities and rewards through a smartphone app.

I have a special memories in Namba. The 1st time I visited Osaka and I get lost the direction to my hostel. Because I attracted by Namba Park then my legs step there. Fortunely I met a Japanese man who help me and took me to my hostel. I will never foget this memories. Arigato Gozaimashita.

Great to know that they offer that many foreign services (ATM, information...) for next time I visit. Unluckily it won't be during that "Omotenashi project" period :/

The Nankai railway is the best way to get from KIX to the heart of Osaka in Namba. It also passes through the historic castle town of Kishiwada as well as Haruki, the home of the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival.
