The Water Garden is one of the most popular attractions at Southeast Botanical Gardens in Okinawa City. The Water Garden is a large pond that is covered with various types of flowering plants, lilies, and reeds. The pond is surrounded by walking paths that take visitors along the edges of the water; the paths also extend into many bridges and platforms to get a closer look right on top of the pond. Each season the look of the pond changes as different flowers bloom and the mixture of birds that enjoy the Water Garden changes. The pond has a population of medium sized carp in it that visitors can feed by purchasing boxes of carp food from vending machines along the pathways. The Water Garden is located at the northeastern corner of Southeast Botanical Gardens and is included with general admission to the park. Southeast Botanical Gardens is open 09:00 ~ 22:00 daily.
