Those looking for a one spot on Okinawa that offers dozens and dozens of activities need look no further than Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park in Okinawa City. The sprawling park includes the Okinawa Athletic Stadium, multiple fields and courts, a gymnasium and swimming pools one one side of Awase Bay Street. The other side of the park on the east side of the road has a cycling velodrome but is otherwise dedicated to recreation rather than sport. There are several kilometers of trails, roads and boardwalk like paths to explore as well as a large pond, a beach, a playground, adult exercise equipment, basketball courts, tennis courts, and many tables, pavilions and observation decks. Entrance to the park is free. Boating, camping, equipment rentals, sporting events and the water park require modest fees.
