Finally I found it, a piece of subtropical paradise here on Sesoko Island in northern Okinawa. Sesoko Beach is one of these places you dream to see and enjoy one day, a place with warm clear turquoise water, white sand, palm trees and natural caves. There are hundreds of different types of corals, manta rays, sea turtles, whale sharks and all sorts of other subtropical fishes. Okinawan beaches are perfect for snorkeling and diving.

Postcards from Sesoko Beach
A subtropical paradise on Sesoko Island

My favorite spot on Sesoko Beach
Big rocks lying around on certain stretches of Sesoko Beach
Great cliffs and colours
Interesting cave
Gateway to the clear turquoise water
The higher the cliffs the more impressive the scenery
Palms grow on top of the cliffs.
Sesoko Beach is located in a very remote part of the island with the same name, …
… and you can find perfect places to hide (in case you want to!)
Another secret spot
The beach seen through a crack in the cliff
Even in late November the beach is a fantastic place to be.
It is also a good place for snorkeling and diving.
Emerald green water, white sand and lots of seashells

I've been to Okinawa once and now I want to go back even more. The nature is wonderful!

Senen: I think you found the quintessential pacific paradise! Now, in the middle of winter it looks especially appealing. How hard is it to get to this island and how far away is it from Okinawa proper?
