During World War II, Kakazu Takadai Koen (嘉数高台公園), commonly known as Kakazu Peace Park, was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Battle of Okinawa: The Battle of Kakazu Ridge. This site is a must see for any history buff or person wanting to visit a scenic quiet park with historical significance. It's also a great place to take the kids and have a picnic, play catch, or enjoy breath taking views of the island.
