Ginowan Tropical Beach and Park is located just 20 minutes north of Naha and is popular among local residents. The lifeguard patrolled beach is very clean and has great facilities, including showers, toilets, lockers, kiosk, rental office and large undercover gathering tables. There are also rental barbecues and accessories available for those without their own. There are water activities available at the beach, and the neighboring park is equipped with exercise facilities, a jogging track, a playground, a large grass field and ample space to relax in the gardens. To access Ginowan Tropical Beach & Park from Naha, take Route 58 north or the Okinawa Expressway to Nishihara I.C and follow the signs to the Convention Center. Alternatively, take bus numbers: 28, 32, 52, 55, 61, 88, 99, 112, 288 and disembark at the Okinawa Convention center bus stop.

Thanks, Chris. I had taken an unfamiliar shortcut into the Route 58 Bypass area of Ginowan and thought I'd found a new park. The park along with the beach covers quite a large area and it is a great recreational treasure for residents and visitors alike.
Nice shots Michael. There's definitely more to the Tropical Park than first meets the eye!

I stopped by Tropical Park this last weekend and snapped a few shots near the huge Torrii along the Route 58 bypass.
