There are few places you can go in the modern world and feel at peace and relaxed, especially when you live in the city. Okayama City has its fair share of parks but there are a few that stand above the rest, It is up to you to find your favorite park but they all pretty much do the same thing; make the city more livable. Tokoen needs to be visited. The birds and the turtles are friendly. The buildings are subservient to the natural surroundings in which they are placed. The caretaker and her granddaughter will narrate the story if you wish or leave you alone to wander around the garden as Lord Ikeda's commander once did.
