A special exhibition at the Oita Art Museum looks at the works of Swedish artist Lisa Larson, who is known for her warm and simple Scandinavian-inspired ceramic pieces. Around 200 pieces will be displayed from various points throughout Larson's career, along with a collection of items from artists who inspired her such as fellow Swedish designer Stig Lindberg.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 1200 yen.
The Oita Art Museum is located around 5 minutes by taxi (or 20 minutes on foot) from the JR Oita Station, served by the Nippō Main Line, the Kyūdai Main Line, and the Hōhi Main Line. Buses are also available from the station to the museum -- head out of the South Exit, and take the Oita Kyan Bus for 9 minutes. There is a dedicated stop for the museum.
For those who plan to drive, the venue is around 10 minutes from the Oita Interchange on the Oita Expressway. Free on-site parking is available for up to 130 vehicles.
