Beppu is famous for its natural hot springs or what we know as the 8 'Jigoku', which means 'burning hells'. What makes the 8 Jigoku of Beppu interesting is the distinctiveness of each one. You will have a good time marveling at each hot spring, interacting with the many attractions provided to entertain you, and have fun seeing other people having fun. Just get yourself to Beppu JR station, visit the information center, equip yourself with a 'hell passport' and one day bus pass, then enjoy the 8 hells of Beppu in half a day.

Yes, it's amazing how each hell is different but all beautiful. I got to tried the egg but missed the sweet potato! One more reason to go again ; )

Beppu Is a fantastic place. When I was there I ate some eggs and sweet potato which was cooked by the hot steam.
