It was late afternoon and the weather was too good not to try to head up into the mountains. Tanigawadake from a distance was spectacularly clear, an unusual sight for this time of year. A quick stop home to change clothes and pick up my bag and I was off. Clouds moved in as I neared the peak but drifted away just as the sun dipped below the horizon providing a sublime sunset.
