Kujukushima (translated as "99 Islands") National Park lies just off the coast of Sasebo in Nagasaki Prefecture. While the term "kujuku" can also mean vast or uncountable, there are actually 208 islands in the clear waters here. From thickly forested islets to rocky outcrops protruding from the sea, a cruise in this national park is a particularly picturesque experience. You can tour the park on boats that leave from the Saikai Pearl Resort.

Such lovely photos! Looks like a good place to visit when the summer heat sets in!
It was actually quite hot when we went in August two summers ago. There was no breeze in the channel and the sun beating down on the boat was almost unbearable. But it is still a beautiful area, no matter when you go!
