Nagano Prefecture is a mountainous region with beautiful landscapes and wide open spaces. In Nagano, you can find many wonders like very old wooden jinja (shrines) preserved quite well, old tombs covered with moss, and snow-white flowers growing in brooks. One of my most favorite towns of Japan is Matsumoto with its Castle, scenic views of the mountains in snow, and quiet life is. In the countryside of Nagano, you will meet just a few locals and no tourists with cameras! Nagano is also famous for onsen. I was first introduced to onsen in Nagano and enjoyed it since the very first time. Having visited Nagano once, I always want to come back!

I couldn't agree more about Nagano. Just came back from that area. It's indeed as beautiful as your shots, and yes, less tourist. :)
Thank you! Nagano is my favorite place in Japan so far! I hope to come back some day.
