Kyogamine is known as the graveyard of the Date clan, founders of Sendai City. You will see three beautiful mausoleums at Zuihoden, each lacquered black and decorated with gold leaf and exquisite fretwork. How about rambling among Kyogamine after you appreciate them? The path through Kyogamine has again reopened after a lengthy repair period. The path starts near Kansenden and leads to Okosama Gobyo, the graveyard of children and mistress of Date clan. You will enjoy walking in the trees for five minutes on your way to Okosama Gobyo. It is a quiet and solemn place that is worth visiting. You may feel a sense of fear or awe, you will be stepping into the spiritual world.
