There are two parallel shopping streets which extend from Shijo Street up to Sanjo-dori Street namely the Teramachi and Shinkyogoku Shopping Streets.

Being located in downtown Kyoto, these streets are famous shopping meccas that draw a younger crowd as well as travelers.
Nishiki Market, or also famously known as “Kyoto’s Kitchen” is also in this area.
