Digital art events have exploded in number over recent years, and one art collective at the forefront of this in Japan is NAKED. One event that they are hosting this fall is NAKED Flowers Nijo Castle, which showcases colorful projection mapping at this World Heritage site.
One highlight of the event is the projection mapping on the historic Karamon Gate, but that's not all there is to offer. There will also be illuminations at the Ninomaru Garden, interactive digital art on the castle's inner moat, and an autumn leaves light-up at Seiryu-en.

Adult admission to the event on the day is ¥1800, but purchasing your ticket in advance yields a ¥400 discount. Details on how and where to purchase advance tickets can be found on the official event website.
Getting there
Nijo Castle is located a short walk from Nijojo-mae Station, which is served by the Tozai Subway Line.
Paid on-site parking is available (details can be found here), but utilizing public transport where possible is advised.
