Cafe Bibliotec Hello! (link in Japanese) is a modern Japanese cafe housed in a converted machiya building in central Kyoto. Located off Nijo street near Yanagi-no-bamba street, this relaxing cafe can be easily recognized by the palm trees in front of it. The interior is decorated with vintage wooden furniture and the atmosphere is really laid-back. There are walls of books for patrons to sit and read. The cafe serves a variety of sandwiches, salads, pastas and rice plates as well as desserts. Next door is a bakery for take-out goods. Opening hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the cafe is closed on Mondays.
